This year’s conference will feature three incredible guest speakers:

The conference will begin on Friday, November 8 with workshops presented by Dr. Kazemi and Dr. Williams. Join us after the workshops for a happy hour networking event at Pizza People Pub. Saturday sessions will include keynote presentations from Dr. Kazemi and Dr. Slowiak, as well as breakout sessions featuring our Special Interest Groups for a total of 11 CEUs over both days. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided both days.

Ellie Kazemi, PhD, BCBA-D
Dr. Kazemi is a professor at CSUN where she founded the M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program and has been teaching undergraduate and graduate coursework for over 10 years. She is the leading author of a handbook written for both supervisors and supervisees that is titled, Supervision and Practicum in Behavior Analysis: A Handbook for Supervisees. Her applied research interests involve identification of efficient, effective strategies for practical training and supervision of staff. She is also interested in leveraging technology and Artificial Intelligence (e.g., robotics, virtual or augmented reality) for research and practice in behavior analysis.
Julie M. Slowiak, PhD, BCBA
Julie M. Slowiak is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Dr. Slowiak is the Founder of InJewel LLC, a values-focused coaching and consulting company and serves as the Executive Director of the Behavior Analysis in Health, Sport, and Fitness SIG, a non-profit organization. Dr. Slowiak’s research blends her training in applied behavior analysis and organizational behavior management with topics studied in the fields of occupational health psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, and applied sports psychology. In general, Julie is interested in the behavioral processes underlying athletic performance, the integration of Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) to health, behavior, and human performance coaching, healthy lifestyle behavior change, performance management and improvement, and behavior-based and values-focused coaching. Dr. Slowiak is on a mission to disseminate behavioral science to those who desire to take their own performance and wellbeing and that of those they lead and coach to a higher level.
Keith E. Williams, PhD, BCBA
Dr. Keith Williams is a licensed psychologist and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. He has been the Director of the Feeding Program at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center for over twenty years. Keith is also Professor of Pediatrics at the Penn State College of Medicine, where he teaches medical students, graduate students, and medical residents. He has written more than sixty book chapters and articles in the area of feeding problems and child nutrition. He is coauthor of Treating Eating Problems of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Disabilities: Interventions for Professionals and Parents with Richard Foxx, Ph.D. and Broccoli Boot Camp: Basic Training for Parents of Selective Eaters with Laura J. Seiverling. Keith is the incoming Executive Director of PennABA.
