Alexandra Newell

Summary:
Join the ACT/RFT SIG for the sixth and final installment of Allie Newell’s ACT-U series. This month will cover the concept of self as context and tie together the six core processes of ACT. ACT-U is a 6-hour interactive course that focuses on learning and applying the principles of ACT with its participants. By embracing and integrating the principles and practices of ACT into our own lives, we can better serve the populations we work within. Join us for the final part of this transformative series!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will identify at least two examples of self-as-context.
  2. Participants will identify at least one way that self concepts can affect behavior.
  3. Participants will describe how the six core processes of ACT support psychological flexibility.
