Summary:
Join the ACT/RFT SIG for the fifth installment of Allie Newell’s ACT-U series. This month will cover the concept of committed action. ACT-U is a 6-hour interactive course that focuses on learning and applying the principles of ACT with its participants. By embracing and integrating the principles and practices of ACT into our own lives—including creating committed actions rooted in our values, we can better serve the populations we work within. Join us for part five of this transformative series!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will identify common barriers to values-aligned behavior.
  2. Participants will define and create goals using an ACT perspective.
  3. Participants will identify important elements of goal setting incorporating committed action.
