ACT/RFT SIGACT and Parent Training

Morgan Chipley LBA, BCBA will be discussing the inclusion of Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) while working with parents and caregivers of children diagnosed with autism and other special needs. Attendees will learn how stressors associated with raising a child with special needs can be a barrier to a successful behavior change program and how ACT can be used to support the effectiveness of a program in a compassionate and motivating manner. Morgan will discuss current research as well as methods drawn from years of application in parent training contexts.
