We will be discussing how to teach functional life skills in a group setting. Topics will include skill acquisition, generalization from a group setting to a community setting, and the importance of maintenance. We will also discuss different assessments that can be used to determine goals for those who may participate in such a group. In addition to discussing the above topics, we will also review unique challenges to working with adolescents that engage in maladaptive behavior.
